fallton und erde @ mzin Leipzig

The presentation and exhibition fallton und erde took place between 15th and 30th of June 2023 at mzin Leipzig as part of their wonderful on display series. In the working process over about ten years Christian Nappert focus of interest lay on sites of earth extraction, mainly in County Meath/West Meath in Ireland, in the Fichtelgebirge, in the middle of Europe and around Leipzig. The prints are the first part and movement of the series inside the artist book fallton und erde which sequences rhythmically photographs from an archive, mainly of diverse earth, ceramic, marble and stones and a literary text by Steph Joyce. Three more books by Alba Frenzel, Florian Glaubitz and Laetitia Eskens of the artist book association euja:distribution were presented as well.
